Syncing guitar effects to MIDI Clock with the Molten Voltage TEMPODE pedal

Hey everyone,

Here is a fresh video that shows the basics of connecting TEMPODE to multiple guitar effects and making them synchronize to its MIDI Clock signal:

For the video, I've connected it to the Strymon TimeLine, Eventide Pitchfactor, and EHX 8-Step Program pedals.

There are over 50 other effects that sync to MIDI Clock.  Check out the full list at MoltenVoltage.com

Thanks!

Strymon BigSky and Kemper Profiler can now sync to MIDI Clock with TEMPODE

Strymon BigSky, Kemper Profiler Amp, and Kemper Profiler Rack join the growing list of effects that sync to MIDI Clock with TEMPODE!

The BigSky requires a firmware update available at Strymon's website

I've heard nothing but great things about the Kemper Profiler gear - worth checking it out!

28 Effects that can sync to MIDI Clock with CTL-Sync

We just added TC Electronic G-Force and Catalinbread Semaphore Tremolo to the list of effects that can sync to MIDI Clock using CTL-Sync.

That makes 28 pedals with a Tap Input Jack that can sync together even though they don't use MIDI Clock.  CTL-Sync switches in time with an incoming MIDI Clock and also has 9 ratios for each of the outputs that are stored as part of each preset.

Get your pedals in sync so you can swim!

Computer-Based MIDI Clock Jitter

MIDI should work easily on modern computers based on its 32.5K baud rate, but programmers must not be able to get to the core of the Windows MIDI API because, at least out of MIDI-OX on my computer, MIDI Clock is horribly jittery.

I can already see you reaching for your pitchforks, so don't just take my word for it...

The best solution is to sync your DAW gear to an external hardware MIDI Clock such as MASTER CONTROL or TEMPODE.
